Scenic's two new ships are simply divine

Asia's rivers are flooded with luxury vessels with lines like Aqua Expeditions, APT and Avalon Waterways offering top tier products and services in the region.

Asia’s rivers are flooded with luxury vessels with lines like Aqua Expeditions, APT and Avalon Waterways offering top tier products and services in the region.

They have large suites, balcony cabins and some even have over-the-top yet incredibly stunning plush designs. They’re so well constructed it almost seems impossible to top what’s already on offer.

Scenic felt differently.

The rebranded river cruise line thought long and hard about how to differ its forthcoming vessels from the rest and the results are amazing.

Renderings recently released of Scenic Spirit (Mekong from January 2016) and Scenic Aura (Irrawaddy from September 2016) prove the cruise line has really upped its game in the region, with overly spacious bedrooms, rainfall showers and extra-large bathtubs.

And they’re just a few of the incredible changes.

See below for five reasons why Scenic’s two new ships are simply divine.

Spaciously ‘Suite’

This premier suite features four separate zones – bathroom with extra-large bathtub, rainfall shower and walk-in dressing room; bedroom; living room and outdoor forward facing deck complete with daybed, jacuzzi and al fresco dining table.

A few more ‘Suites’

While Aura won’t carry the ‘largest suite’ title, she will have 22 suites onboard all of which feature separate bedroom, living room and balcony.

The vessel also has the 24sqm Balcony Suite complete with a Scenic Sun Lounge.

 Tasty tasty

Both ships will boast a choice of dining venues from a la carte to casual dining.

Among the venues is the River Café – a casual dining space service compliment light meals, snacks and refreshments. Guests can pick up their meal from early in the morning until late afternoon take it anywhere on the ship. For those with a sweet tooth, the River Café also has a Gelato bar, light snacks, healthy options and tasty treats.

Cruisers who prefer a more formal environment, there’s Crystal Dining – the main restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. It features a buffet and á la carte menus created by award-winning chefs. There’s also four-course dinners and open seating with table from two to eight people.

A beautiful spot to get boozy

Located close to the resort-style pool deck is the bar area – a spacious bar accompanied with an outdoor lounge area where guests can watch as Asia sails by.

Open air pool & cinema

If it’s swimming your clients love then they’ll enjoy the resort-style pool but if they’re looking for a place to catch some sun and just lay back then they’ll love the open air cinema – both of which will be found on the pool deck.

Some quiet-time
