Eight Aussie rock star agents hit all the right notes on the recent TTC Tour Brands Global Agent Famil. They got a first-hand taste of all five of The Travel Corporation (TTC) touring brands as they grooved their way through Memphis, Nashville, and New Orleans. And now they’re back, inspired to rock the travel industry with their newfound expertise and electrifying experiences!

Back in February, we told you all about the epic TTC Tour Brands Global Agent Famil. Well, last week, the lucky winners hopped on board with TTC Tour Brands for a journey through the Southern USA.

Australian travel agents who joined the TTC Tour Brands Global Agent famil were: Lyndall Collins, itravel; Danielle Gonzales, Travel Managers; Lisa Beaver, Luxury Escapes; Karl Johnson, Our Vacation Centre; Megan Vaughan, MTA; Claire Kinch, Tourradar; Melissa Loynes, Travel Managers; Kay Naran, RAC.

The lineup included 44 TTC All Stars from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, UK and Ireland. And together they got to experience for themselves all five TTC Tour Brands (Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, Costsaver and Contiki).

“It was fabulous to experience the difference in brands and what unique individual experiences they offer,” Melissa Loynes from TravelManagers Australia said.

“Every step of the way I felt informed, safe and in the best hands.”

But the trip was more than just an educational, with Melissa calling it a “cathartic experience”.

“I had tears streaming down my face listening to the music, walking the steps of Martin Luther King Jnr in Memphis and sleeping sound in all of our hotels we stayed in.

“Thank you, TTC!”

Back stage pass to TTC

But how did these rockstar agents score this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Well, they were the top sellers in the TTC Tour Brands Global Agent sales incentive. And earlier this year, they earned the coveted title of ‘TTC All Stars’, securing their spots on this trip. This was also the first TTC Tour Brands famil trip since The Travel Corporation brought its five touring brands together in 2022.

Mickey Mann, the Sales Manager for TTC Tour Brands in Western Australia, hosted the Australian agents on this unforgettable journey.

“Covering our five brands across the famil has given our TTC All Stars such great breadth of first-hand product knowledge to sell to their clientele,” he said. And that’s if they’re not only groups, but also youth travellers, or luxury enthusiasts.

“We covered so much ground in this fantastic part of the USA and the experience of taking our agents on tour again will, I am sure, assist them to sell with confidence the benefits of group touring across North America which allows guests on TTC coaches to experience the ‘real America’ – not just the big cities.”

So, what did these lucky TTC All Stars get up to?

Rocking it in Nashville

They kicked things off in Nashville, strutting their stuff with Trafalgar and Costsaver. They visited the iconic Country Music Hall of Fame and got their boots stompin’ at the Grand Ol Opry, a legendary music institution that has been rocking since 1925. And the cherry on top? A mind-blowing show featuring Grammy award-winning artists and Country Music Hall of Fame inductees. Talk about starting the trip on a high note!

Memphis memories

Next stop: Memphis, the birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll. With Contiki as their guide, they dived into the city’s vibrant music scene, visiting the Nearest Green Distillery, strolling down the legendary Beale Street, and paying homage to the King himself at Graceland.

They also explored the profound history of the Civil Rights Movement at the Civil Rights Museum and soaked in the tunes at the Memphis Rock and Soul Museum. Oh, and did we mention they got to stay at Insight Vacations 5-star property, the Guesthouse at Graceland, just a stone’s throw away from the Presley Mansion and Graceland Museum? That’s rockstar treatment right there!

Going back in time in Mississippi

Meanwhile, in Natchez, Mississippi, they stepped back in time to experience the pre-Civil War USA and indulge in some Southern hospitality. Thanks to Trafalgar’s Be My Guest program, they had a taste of the antebellum era at the enchanting Lansdowne Estate, nestled along the mighty Mississippi River. Talk about living in history!

Jazzed up in New Orleans

To end their journey with a bang, the group arrived in the vibrant city of New Orleans. They took in Mardi Gras World, danced their way through the lively Bourbon Street and Frenchman’s Quarter districts. To round the trip agents got to travel in Luxury Gold style. From a Delta Tour to an Oyster Farm excursion, these agents experienced the best of the bayou. And let’s not forget the mouthwatering Cooking Class at Roux cooking school, where they learned how to whip up a traditional Gumbo or Jambalaya for dinner, followed by a decadent Banana Flambe for dessert. They even topped it off with a Champagne Sundowner at the swanky Ritz Carlton. It was pure luxury!
