Club Med has announced a new cancellation protection policy, which rewards you, its valued agents, whether your clients travel or not.
Club Med has launched their new Club Med Agent Cancellation Protection^, which mitigates travel agent’s risk of commission loss from cancelled bookings.
Under the company’s current Peace of Mind Policy, Club Med has covered all bases to provide clients flexible booking options including a full refund up to 30 days prior to departure.
Club Med has now evolved its policy to ensure that travel agents and businesses alike are also supported even when a client no longer wishes to travel.
Under the Club Med Agent Cancellation Protection Policy^, if a client chooses to cancel,the travel agent’s efforts are recognised.
In the circumstance that a booking is made with any departure up to 31 October 2021 and the client cancels prior to 30 days before departure, the travel agent will receive $50 AUD per file.
If no such circumstance, travel agents will continue to receive full commission for clients who have kept their booking and clients that have opted for a Future Travel Credit (FTC) will have the flexibility to rebook at a later date convenient to them through their preferred Travel Agent partner.
The Club Med Agent Cancellation Protection^ provides a risk-free option for travel agents with clients who wish to book holidays in 2021 while there’s still some uncertainty surrounding the current international travel ban.

The new cancellation protection policy comes into effect from 7 October, for bookings made between 8 October and 30 November 2020.

^Club Med Agent Cancellation Protection Terms & Conditions
The Club Med Agent Cancellation Protection promotion is available to all Australian & New Zealand registered Travel Agents. $50 (AUD / NZD) will be refunded to the agent on the grounds that their client cancels their Club Med holiday. Cancellation must occur prior to 30 days prior to departure. For cancellations made within 30 days, no refund will be granted to agents. $50 is respective per file not per person. To be eligible of this promotion, it must be new booking made between 8 October – 30 November 2020 for a departure up to 31 October 2021. To qualify as a new booking, the booking must not be (a) associated with any previous booking, or (b) an amended previous booking, and shall not be paid in full or in part using a credit or transfer of payment from a previous booking.The $50 refund will be paid to the respective travel agent within 4 weeks of the cancellation. Correct use of this promotion will be assessed by our Call Centre Staff. Club Med reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions or terminate the promotionat any time without prior notice. Club Med reserves the right not to honour any refund orotherwise limit the use of a refund if we reasonably believe that the promotion has been misused or is unauthorised, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful.
