Hello New Experiences

A change is as good as a rest, as they say, and some key Hong Kong attractions used the pandemic as a time for a makeover. For instance, the Peak Tram underwent an AUD 1.5-million-dollar refurb, sprucing up the tracks, trams, and terminals.

Fun-filled theme park Ocean Park now has a mega water park to add to its thrills. With 27 indoor and outdoor water attractions, there’s something to please the whole family at Water World

Hong Kong Disneyland invested US 1.4 billion (yes, with a b), in attractions and upgrades. This includes the new Castle of Magical Dreams, Marvel rides, and the World of Frozen.

For foodie and shopping lovers, a trip to the Central Markets is a must. Filled with traditional shops with a twist, cool experiences, and a resurgence of local brands, this is where you can discover what’s making Hong Kong tick right now.

Hello Stunning Skyline

Hong Kong’s iconic skyline is mesmerising and worthy of plenty of time standing in its glory. It’s appealing due to the impressive skyscrapers that line the waterfront, set against the craggy backdrop of Victoria Peak. Walk the waterfront path for one of the best vantage points.

Nightly, the skyline dials things up with its Symphony of Lights show. This jaw-dropping multi-media experience sees 42 buildings across the water light up in time with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra’s moving soundtrack.

One of the best ways to experience the city’s mesmerising skyline is to stay in a room with a view. The 5-star Regent Hong Kong reopens in June after extensive refurbishment, making it our current choice.

For an alternate view, Fullerton Ocean Park offers spectacular ocean vistas from each of its 425 rooms.

Hello Vibrant Art Scene

For the throng of Hong Kong’s vibrant arts scene, a trip to the West Kowloon Cultural District is in order. Set across 40 hectares of reclaimed land, this is one of the world’s largest cultural projects, bringing communities together.

Stop at the Hong Kong Palace Museum, visit M+, the museum of global culture, and watch Cantonese opera at the Xiqu Centre. Pack a picnic or grab a food truck bite while checking out what’s on at Freespace

The West Kowloon Cultural District is a game-changing space, providing a cultural smörgåsbord to cater to every taste.

Hello Culinary Delights

Well known for its traditional feasts and fancy fusion food, a visit to Hong Kong always delights the palate. From yummy street food to satiating desserts and everything in between, a Hong Kong itinerary should be created around what to eat as much as what to see and do!

Advise your clients to plan for at least one visit to a Michelin-starred restaurant; from cheap eats to fine dining, everyone’s budget is catered to. Dim sum is a Hong Kong staple, and the city is seeing its quirkier dim sum restaurants grow in popularity.

Themed restaurants, like campsite-themed, Van Gogh-themed, and even a throwback School Café, add extra joy to local dining experiences. Encourage your foodie clients to travel during the annual Hong Kong Wine and Dine festival!
