The Australian Federation of Travel Agents has revealed its upcoming AFTA Women in Travel Summit program with EQ Minds Founder Chelsea Pottenger as the keynote speaker for the inaugural one-day event on Monday 13 March in Sydney.

The Australian Federation of Travel Agents has revealed its upcoming AFTA Women in Travel Summit program with EQ Minds Founder Chelsea Pottenger as the keynote speaker for the inaugural one-day event on Monday 13 March in Sydney.

The AFTA Women in Travel Summit program will contain three sessions and a choice of two breakout sessions. Session 1 will cover how the travel industry can best support women in the workplace, while session 2 will explore industry best practices in the future.

Issues discussed will include opportunities for career progression, challenges for women in the workplace, pathways towards flexibility and inspiring the next generation.

Session 3 will highlight strategies for professional development with keynote speaker Chelsea Pottenger, Founder and Director of mental health and wellbeing company EQ Minds.

Ms Pottenger is an accredited mindfulness and meditation coach as well as an ambassador for mental health charities R U OK? and the Gidget Foundation.

Attendees have the choice of two interactive breakout sessions: Alpha Confidence – elevating your personal brand and building confidence in the workplace; or Goal Setting and Visualisation – learning strategies to achieve professional and personal goals.

The overall aim of the Summit is to gather information on how to continue supporting women in travel and the areas for improvement, which will inform AFTA’s first annual Workforce Report.
