Travel Agents, suppliers and delegates were told this morning at the event that the response to the travel series has been “fantastic”, with some 500,000 viewers tuning in every week.

Group General Manager of Retail and Commercial, John Constable, said the company along with Channel 9 are pleased with the program’s success as it’s now one of the channel’s strongest travel shows.

“The TV show is getting stronger each week, and beyond that, there are the digital assets on 9Now and Channel 9 apps that Australians are using to rewatch episodes,” he said.

Even more impressive is that Helloworld Travel consultants are also seeing the results of having the brand’s name in a travel series, as bookings are coming in for featured destinations almost immediately after episodes air.

Canada proved to be particularly popular among Australian viewers of Helloworld, with results showing “really strong” bookings after the first show featuring Sonia Kruger visiting Lake Louise. There was also a good response to Europe following Vince Sorrenti’s dining experience at Paris’ oldest patissier.

John said he’s looking forward to continuing the show and seeing how the group can “take it to the next level”.
