Tourism Australia is supporting the national vaccine push with a much-needed new campaign, titled ‘It’s our best shot for travel’, encouraging Australians to get jabbed ready for the #ArrivalRevival of domestic travel.
You’ve heard of ‘Bushfire Bounceback’, ‘Ticket to Recovery’ and more recently ‘Holiday Here This Year’, but have got involved with its latest campaign yet?
Tourism Australia has just launched its latest industry initiative, quite aptly named ‘It’s our best shot for travel’.
Because, let’s face it, it really is.
Because before we can explore the vineyards, hike the mountains, experience the culture, and swim on the reef, Aussies will need to visit one important destination; the vaccination centre.
The slogan for the social media and print campaign reads “It’s our best shot for travel: get vaccinated and get ready to go,” and its goal is to encourages as many Australians to get vaccinated and be ready to go as soon as restrictions ease.
To get involved and support the sentiment, simply download the online toolkit, which features a range of ways for the travel industry to share this message with their friends, family and colleagues.
“We need to claim back our way of life, so that we can visit friends and relatives, get back into the workplace, get our kids back to school, travel domestically and internationally again, and welcome the world back to enjoy all that Australia has to offer, ” said Phillipa Harrison, MD for Tourism Australia, talking about the campaign last week.
“Now more than ever, we need to work together to rebuild Australians’ confidence to travel and take a holiday here, in their own country.”
Ready to do your bit?
Share this powerful message on your Instagram, Facebook, Zoom, email signature and website, and we’ll be travelling again in no time.
‘What even is the target?’ and ‘where are we at right now?’ you might find yourself pondering.
Well, the Australian federal government has set a target of 80% of the population to be fully vaccinated before we can move to a phase when we can move freely and safely and travel again.
At the current rate of vaccinations and vaccine availability, it’s estimated that the nation will approximately achieve this number in December 2021.
Getting vaccinated is our passport to ceasing lockdowns, being able to support and protect communities, travel safely and reconnect with loved ones again in and outside of Australia.
Not to mention, of course, finally allowing more stranded Australians to return home to be reunited with loved ones.
Keep up to date with Australia’s rollout right here, with the Karryon daily update.
