Thanks to all you wonderful readers out there, we’re pleased to share with you that KarryOn has again hit no.1 in the Alexa Rankings for travel trade sites in Australia for January 2016.
Needless to say, We’re extremely proud of this result – especially given we’re only two and a half years old and still a relative fledgling in the game.
Total visitors and traffic to KarryOn outreached all of our other industry friends again in January which is clear sign of just how much you are enjoying reading our content on a daily basis and how much you’re telling your industry friends about us.
Your appetite for something different, fun and engaging outside of just the travel news you ‘need to know’ has given us the insights to serve up a tasty combo to keep you wanting more. And we’re loving it too!
The Alexa Rankings are owned by Amazon and and a trusted source of independent reporting and ranking for websites the world over. The table below illustrates our top ranking in Australia (of all sites) versus all other travel trade websites (lowest rank being best).
Surprisingly, January turned out to be a big news month in the end with the Webjet controversy stealing the show and creating plenty of debate and passion from agents and the industry at large declaring war on the OTA. We also had some fantastic industry pride around Australia day, as well as the big takeover news at helloworld and their commission generating app, Scenic’s new uber luxurious ship and much more.
