Movers + Shakers: Adventure World increases ANZ leadership with 2 new strategic hires

Adventure World has expanded its market presence in Australia and New Zealand, adding two experienced leaders to its ranks: Anna Burgdorf as the new Head of Product and Emily Fernandes as New Zealand National Sales Manager.

Adventure World has expanded its market presence in Australia and New Zealand, adding two experienced leaders to its ranks: Anna Burgdorf as the new Head of Product and Emily Fernandes as New Zealand National Sales Manager.

The new appointments underscore Adventure World’s commitment to customer-centric product development and a heightened focus on the New Zealand market.

Well-known from her pivotal positions at Flight Centre Travel Group, including most recently as General Manager of Luxury Travel Collection (LTC), Burgdorf steps into a new role as Head of Product to spearhead the brand’s innovation and growth strategy.

She brings more than three decades’ experience across brand strategy, product development and commercial marketing.

Adventure World Managing Director Neil Rodgers said Burgdorf’s appointment completes the company’s core executive team.

“We are delighted to welcome Anna to the team. Her extensive experience and leadership will be pivotal in evolving and expanding our product suite,” he said.

With a sharpened focus on the vital NZ market, Adventure World has also welcomed Emily Fernandes in a newly created role as New Zealand National Sales Manager.

Based in New Zealand, Fernandes has honed her experience and passion for travel in varied sales and partnership roles, including Topdeck Travel, Air New Zealand and outdoor adventure retailer Torpedo7.
