A&K Travel Group has announced the appointment of Susan Haberle to the role of Vice President Sales for Australia and New Zealand (AU/NZ) and Tony Archbold as Vice President Sales for Asia.
The group says the new leadership appointments will strengthen its APAC market focus and commitment to its trade partners across Asia-Pacific, setting the company up for further growth in both brands, including an expansion of the on-road trade sales team who will represent both A&K and Crystal.
Haberle and Archbold will oversee the brands of Abercrombie & Kent (A&K) and Crystal in their respective regions.
Susan Haberle, an experienced industry leader with a strong track record of success, brings with her a wealth of expertise in luxury travel. A&K Travel Group says her deep understanding of the market will be instrumental in advancing AKTG’s goals in AU/NZ.
Tony Archbold, a veteran sales professional with extensive knowledge and experience in the Asian market across various sectors of the industry, will take the lead on sales strategy in Asia — working closely alongside Evon Ler, Director of Sales (Asia) for A&K and Crystal.
“We are delighted to congratulate Susan and Tony in their new roles within AKTG,” said Debra Fox, Managing Director Australasia — A&K EVP, Sales APAC — A&K and Crystal.
“This is an incredible time for us. With Susan and Tony at the helm of our sales team in AU/NZ and Asia, we are confident that we will continue to lead the way in the region’s luxury travel market.”
A&K Travel Group also welcomes Sada Memic to the newly created role of Director of Sales and Reservations Centre APAC, for AKTG brands, following the announcement of Ann-Marie Chapman’s promotion to Global VP Education, Sales and Service.
Memic joins AKTG with extensive experience in both the travel sector and the luxury property market, specialising in exceptional channel engagement and service excellence.
These strategic appointments are part of a broader strategy to reinforce AKTG’s market presence in the APAC region and come as the group embarks on a period of transformation, including a major brand refresh, and significant investment in product development.
Last week, as part of the expansion plans, A&K relaunched its Sanctuary Retreats lodges brand as A&K Sanctuary.
