Movers + Shakers: Azamara adds Shannon Morgan as Key Account Manager

Commencing this week, Shannon Morgan has joined cruise line Azamara as a Key Account Manager within its international sales team.

Commencing this week, Shannon Morgan has joined cruise line Azamara as a Key Account Manager within its international sales team.

According to Azamara, Morgan brings a wealth of experience to the position. Among his previous roles are stints with coach touring and river cruising specialist Globus family of brands, as well as Pandaw River Cruises, where he led the sales team.

Most recently, Morgan steered sales for cruise giant MSC Cruises as its Business Development Manager for Queensland, the Northern Territory and New Zealand. 

In this position, Shannon delivered presentations and liaised with travel partners to help boost the company’s profile and business.

Director of Sales for Azamara Australia and New Zealand, Victoria Chigwidden is thrilled with the addition of Morgan to the local team, saying his experience and relationships with key partners would be a huge asset to the business.  

Born and raised in South Africa, Morgan has long shown a passion for exploration and the travel industry. 

After working as an English teacher in Taiwan, a tenure that helped shape his love of travel, Morgan moved to Australia where he worked in retail travel, wholesale reservations, sales support, and eventually, in area sales roles.

Earlier this month, Azamara announced the appointment of two senior executives to lead the company in its next phase of growth.

The company also recently launched its ‘Work and Wander’ program, which is designed to meet the demands of the modern professional who craves a balance between productivity and adventure.
