Flight Centre has promoted 31-year company veteran Kylie Conboy to the newly created position of Global People Partner to focus on strategic recruitment growth and support the brand’s 3,000-plus employees worldwide.
Effective 6 January 2025, the new role will see Conboy deploy people-focused strategies to support existing team members globally and power the red-and-white brand’s ambitious growth plans.
A FCTG ‘Hall of Famer’, Conboy has had a stellar career since commencing as a Flight Centre consultant in 1993.
She progressed to Nation Leader across Flight Centre and Campus Travel and has led teams within various people- and culture-related businesses, including Leadership Training and Flight Centre Business School.
Flight Centre Global Managing Director Andrew Stark said Conboy’s appointment will strengthen the team’s expertise and focus to support the brand’s most powerful assets.
“Conboy comes to our Global Leadership Team having spent the past 12 months on our Australian leadership team as the People & Culture representative at the same time as leading our Business School in Australia, which forms a key part of our development pathway, so I know we have the right leader in this role,” he said.
“We employ 3,000-plus ‘brand warriors’ around the world and collectively, they are our most powerful billboards, so it’s important we continue to ensure we are supporting their needs, celebrating our unique culture and creating a modernised brand they’re proud to represent.”
Conboy said: “I love our mighty red-and-white brand. I’ve been immersed in and around it for the past 30-plus years so to have the opportunity to lead and represent our people of Flight Centre within the global leadership team is an opening I am excited to take on.”
