Globus family of brands (GFOB) – comprising Avalon Waterways and touring companies Cosmos and Globus – has named Darren Sinclair as its Business Development Manager for NSW South and ACT, effective immediately.
Darren brings over eight years of travel industry experience to the role, including his most recent tenure as Business Development Manager at Collette, where he helped boost agent relationships and drive revenue growth.
With a strategic approach to business development, GFOB says Sinclair will look to deliver innovative sales solutions for the global escorted tour company as it looks to grow its footprint even further.

His appointment comes amid several recent team changes at GFOB, including Kate Jury joining as BDM Victoria North/West and Tasmania, Melinda Wouda moving to National Account Manager and Josh Galea becoming BDM South and East Victoria.
“I am thrilled to join Globus family of brands and I’m eager to begin connecting with our trade partners across New South Wales South and the ACT to implement strategies that will drive positive results for 2025,” Sinclair stated.
Globus family of brands Managing Director Asia Pacific Gai Tyrrell said the recruit would play a “key part in driving growth across our portfolios” as the group prepares for “a strong 2025 with the expansion of our sales team”.

“Darren’s leadership, and particularly his past touring experience, will be invaluable as we look to boost awareness of our brands to enhance market share and increase sales,” she remarked.
GFOB offers extensive tours and cruises worldwide, with new products launching for 2025/2026.
Last month, GFOB revealed it would upgrade its travel advisor portal to create a better booking experience and improved resource access across Globus, Cosmos and Avalon Waterways that align with global standards by late 2024.

The company’s latest trade incentive also allows Aussie and Kiwi travel advisors to win a $1,000 Visa Prezzie gift card daily by simply making a new deposited 2025 booking with Globus, Cosmos or Avalon Waterways by 30 November 2024.
Next year, Globus will kick off its new Small Group Discovery tour collection for 2025, offering more than 50 itineraries worldwide with trips capped at 15 people for Europe and 18 for other destinations.
