Movers + Shakers: Delta names Kelly Clive Country Manager Australia and NZ

Delta Air Lines has added Kelly Clive as Country Manager - Australia and New Zealand, commencing Monday, 13 February 2023. 

Delta Air Lines has added Kelly Clive as Country Manager – Australia and New Zealand, commencing Monday, 13 February 2023. 

Clive’s main role will be to boost Delta sales and build upon the carrier’s presence in Australia and New Zealand, where the airline will begin flying for the first time on 28 October 2023. 

A travel industry veteran, Clive brings more than 20 years of experience in the airline, hospitality and tourism industries. 

Most significantly, Clive spent a decade at Virgin Australia, where she helped manage customer accounts, deliver airline partnerships, and develop business strategies and commercial projects.

“As we announced a new service between Auckland and Los Angeles starting this winter, Delta focuses more on growing the presence in the Australia and New Zealand market,” Delta Managing Director, International Mike Owen said. 

“Her depth of knowledge and expertise in the local market, will assist Delta to forge innovative partnerships and develop strong teams in the market.”

The Atlanta-based carrier has been operating in Australia since 2009, when it became the first US carrier to fly to six continents. Now it flies to Sydney ten times per week utilising its A350-900 aircraft.

It will become the only North American carrier to operate non-stop flights between the US and New Zealand later this year
