Ultra-luxury cruise line Silversea has appointed industry veteran Cassandra Kerr as its Director of Strategic Business Development for APAC.
With decades of experience in leadership roles within the travel industry, both in Australia and abroad, Cassandra Kerr was previously the Senior Manager of Market and Industry Development at Sydney Airport.
Prior to that, Ms Kerr was Regional Manager of Australasia at Qatar Airways, where she successfully drove enormous growth in premium cabins revenue, working both in Australia and the Middle East.
Earlier in her career, Ms Kerr was in charge of MICE business development for IHG AUNZ before joining Virgin Atlantic to spearhead the growth of the airline’s global corporate business and the successful implementation of the joint venture with Delta Airlines.

In a media release, Silversea said Kerr’s strong leadership skills will “focus on Silversea’s APAC business development strategy to ensure the ultra-luxury cruise line is well-positioned for strong, sustainable growth.”
“I am thrilled to join Silversea at this time of expansion in a role that will target strategic opportunities with trade partners as well as broader partnerships across the industry as I work closely with the Managing Director, Marketing Director and Sales Director in the Silversea Asia Pacific team,” Kerr said.
Silversea also recently appointed Philippa Walker as Marketing Director Asia Pacific. Ms Walker joins the luxury cruise line from parent company Royal Caribbean where she was Partnerships Manager, aligning commercial, media, tourism and PR partners to grow revenue.
