United Airlines has promoted Tim Wallis to Regional Sales Manager for Australia, New Zealand and Tahiti as the US carrier ramps up its activity and connectivity in the region with new partnerships and routes.

United Airlines has promoted Tim Wallis to Regional Sales Manager for Australia, New Zealand and Tahiti as the US carrier ramps up its activity and connectivity in the region with new partnerships and routes.

Mr Wallis will overlook all regional commercial activities, including sales and account management, marketing and partner solution functions and will also be responsible for key internal relationships regarding revenue management, network planning and airport operations.

Mr Wallis joined United Airlines in Australia in May 2016 and was responsible for corporate sales nationally, before managing the corporate/TMC national account management team since 2019.

Prior to joining United, Mr Wallis also held state leadership roles in the hotel and cinema sectors.

The announcement highlights an exciting period of growth for United Airlines in the region, which includes a new partnership with Virgin Australia.

The airline also relaunched its Melbourne – San Francisco service in June with Auckland – San Francisco to follow in October as well as the debut of the new Brisbane – San Francisco route on 28 October 2022.

United continued to serve Australia with daily flights throughout the pandemic and currently offers a daily flight from Sydney to San Francisco and Los Angeles and thrice-weekly Melbourne – San Francisco service.
