Lock in your deal: Qantas introduces 5-day price guarantee for NDC bookings

Qantas has a new price guarantee of up to five days on bookings via its Qantas Distribution Platform (QDP) to allow more time for advisors to complete their clients’ travel itineraries.

Qantas has a new price guarantee of up to five days on bookings via its Qantas Distribution Platform (QDP) to allow more time for advisors to complete their clients’ travel itineraries.

Qantas is one of the first airlines globally and the only carrier in Australia and New Zealand to offer a price guarantee for NDC content.

The Price Guarantee Ticketing Time Limit allows advisors to sell bookings to their clientele knowing that the price (including fares, taxes and surcharges) will not change for up to five days.

It also removes the need to reprice bookings ticketed before the five-day price guarantee expires.

The five-day Price Guarantee applies to bookings made through the QDP only, which can be accessed by travel professionals who have registered in the Qantas Channel.

QDP access is via an Approved Technology Partner or a direct connection to the airline’s NDC XML Application Program Interface (API). 

The Price Guarantee will automatically apply to NDC offers selected for clients and displayed when the order is priced. You can also view it in your Technology Partner’s system.

A Ticketing Time Limit will still apply to all bookings via a Technology Partner.

To ensure a Price Guarantee can be applied to your client’s unticketed NDC orders, you’ll need to confirm this system capability with your Technology Partner.

The national carrier has also offered advisors discounted access to domestic and trans-Tasman base fares via its NDP.
