AirAsia and its guests are offering relief to some of the families affected by Indonesia’s natural disasters this year, by donating to the #ToIDWithLove fund.
From now until 31 October 2018, the airline will collect funds and donate them towards rebuilding projects in Yayasan Arkom Indonesia, which was struck by both an earthquake and tsunami in September this year.
Over 845 lives were lost during the 7.5 magnitude quake and following 6m high waves. Many survivors lost power due to the devastating natural disasters and areas were left inaccessible.

Flyers, including those from Australia, can now donate to support those in need by visiting the AirAsia Foundation – the airline’s philanthropic arm. Click here for more information or to donate.
Alternatively, travellers can place their donations in the cash collections that’ll be passed around AirAsia Malaysia, AirAsia Indonesia, AirAsia X Malaysia and AirAsia X Indonesia flights from now until the end of the month.
The airline will announce the total public collection in January 2019 and match it.
“As an Asean airline, we share a close bond with the communities we serve, and we want to do our part to help those in need.”
Tony Fernandes, AirAsia Group Chief Executive
“Through this donation drive, we hope to raise enough money to make a positive contribution to rebuilding efforts, so please give freely. Every dollar counts.”
