Spencer Travel has announced the merging of its leisure brands, Spencer Travel Southside, Spencer Travel Eastside and Shire Travel, into Spencer Travel Leisure.

Spencer Travel recently completed the re-location of its leisure brands to its head office in Mascot.

MD of Spencer Travel, Penny Spencer, said: “Having all our consultants together under one roof, servicing clients, sharing knowledge and supporting each other has really strengthened our team and our business.”

“We are delighted to now have a new name which represents all our leisure consultants. Clients will still be speaking and booking with their personal consultant and will also have access to our other experienced leisure consultants if they are not available.”

Spencer Travel Leisure owned Mosman Travel also recently took over the long-standing Mary Rossi Travel brand in Sydney’s lower north shore.

On a personal and philanthropic level, Penny Spencer has also been busy continuing to give her own time to the Travel Industry Mentoring Program (TIME) as Chair and Director.

Most recently, TIME have a new ‘Go the Extra Mile’ scholarship.

TIME committee member Timo Lorenzen’s initiative of providing a scholarship for an inspirational person to pursue their career and have the benefit and experience of a Mentor to be able to go that extra mile in their career will be a great advantage to someone’s career.

Timo’s novel idea of taking part in a ‘Go the Extra Mile’ Campaign and run 5 km a day for 30 days has raised the scholarship funds to provide this opportunity for a worthy person.

If you think that you should be that worthy person, you can apply now, until Friday 6 August 2021.

The scholarship will begin with the next intake commencing on 8 September 2021.

Applications are open to all Australian employees of the travel industry (providing they meet the criteria).
