Yesterday a dear client of mine dropped in and gifted me one of her gorgeous @cactusilk cushions to say thank you for assisting her and her family rearrange their upcoming trips they can sadly no longer take. I was so overwhelmed by her kindness and generosity, it’s had such a huge impact on my mental strength going forward – I can do this, I will get through it and I will still have a job once things start returning to normal, my clients are awesome and loyal and it will be ok, eventually. It also gave me perspective, in between Jess offering me a cushion and delivering it, her and her husband’s live music entertainment business has completely lost every single booking and therefore all their income for the foreseeable future, they have run their highly successful booking agency for years, it’s their livelihood. They will also be ok, things will go back to normal for them too but they are now also doing it very tough. Pretty much everyone I know is doing it tough, we are just two families of so so many. Some will get through it and sadly others won’t. What we need to do is take what we can from it, when life goes back to normal we must help our community rebuild. Now, more than ever, support small local businesses. Go out and see live music, book your next holiday with an agent, we’ve certainly shown our value through this absolute shit show and above all else buy a cushion! @cactusilk #travelmanagersaustralia #personaltravelmanager #allycaseytravel #covid19 #togetherintravel
