Updating the states: TravelManagers Australia wraps catch-ups in 5 cities

TravelManagers hit the road recently for the first of its twice-yearly state meetings in 2024 with the National Partnership Office, state-based Business Partnership Managers and suppliers engaging with personal travel managers (PTMs) in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

TravelManagers hit the road recently for the first of its twice-yearly state meetings in 2024 with the National Partnership Office, state-based Business Partnership Managers and suppliers engaging with personal travel managers (PTMs) in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

The latest round of state meetings featured presentations and workshops on a range of relevant topics, including systems and technology and tips for business success.

Business Partnership Manager for NSW/ACT Penny Toon delivered a presentation on ‘Working Smarter’ while other presos included ‘How to Run a Successful Travel Expo’.

TravelManagers PTMs also heard about product updates from partner suppliers such as NCL, Wendy Wu Tours, Thai Airways, Room Res and its parent group, House of Travel.

House of Travel Group General Manager Cruise Australasia Jeff Leckey shared the latest cruise partnership news.

PTMs also heard more about the upcoming 2024 National Conference on 12-14 September, which will take place in Cairns.

With networking and educational opportunities available, attendance at state meetings allows the independent, home-based PTMs to connect with colleagues and suppliers and is particularly valuable for those new to the company.

First-timer Chris Scott said: “I found the supplier presentations and updates really informative and worthwhile. Being new to TravelManagers, meeting many of the other WA-based PTMs was great, there is a good sense of community and a strong culture.”
