$3.3M raised, 550K lives changed: A&K Philanthropy achieves most impactful year yet

Abercrombie & Kent’s non-profit A&K Philanthropy (AKP) delivered record-breaking global impact across 27 countries in 2025, raising $3.3 million to fund 80 projects on seven continents.

Abercrombie & Kent’s non-profit A&K Philanthropy (AKP) delivered record-breaking global impact across 27 countries in 2025, raising $3.3 million to fund 80 projects on seven continents.

The just-released 2025 Global Impact Report details A&K Philanthropy’s most impactful year to date, benefiting 549,662 lives around the world.

Last year saw an increase of 14 projects and expansion into four countries for AKP, compared to 2024, including a partnership with the Nueva Arica community in the Peruvian Amazon to develop bio-businesses, funding for a new primary school library in Kenya’s Maasai Mara, and vocational training in mosaics for women in Jordan.

Impact highlights include 7,288 children fed daily through school lunch programs in Kenya, Namibia, Uganda and Zambia, delivered with parents and local communities, plus $800,000 in medical equipment in partnership with C.U.R.E.

Through the Safe Water for Schools initiative, AKP helped 6,464 additional students gain access to clean drinking water, while women-owned enterprises in Uganda and Zambia received 1,652 bicycles to support their businesses.

AKP’s team of 17 Impact Managers work collaboratively within the communities where projects operate, enabling strong local relationships and close oversight of implementation.

The team’s on-the-ground presence allows AKP to respond quickly and effectively while supporting project growth in some of the world’s most rural and isolated regions.

A&K Philanthropy Executive Director Keith Sproule said AKP was established with the belief that travel should create meaningful, long-term benefits for local communities and continues to focus on education, healthcare, conservation and enterprise development.  

“From feeding thousands of students each day to expanding access to clean water, healthcare and economic opportunity, 2025 was a landmark year for A&K Philanthropy,” he said.

“With the support of our guests and partners, we have now reached nearly 550,000 people through more than 80 projects across 27 countries. 

“At the heart of our work is a long-term commitment to working alongside our partner communities and create the conditions for lasting change.”
