Adelaide Airport just launched valet parking for all travellers for the first time

For the first time, Adelaide Airport is offering valet parking for all flyers. For the ultimate in convenience, the new valet parking service allows travellers – regardless of airline, destination or class of travel – to simply drive up to the terminal’s southern doors, hand over their keys and head straight to check-in.

The service is available every day from 4:30am to 11:30pm and operated by First Class Valet, which manages valet services around Australia. Qantas operated a valet service for its customers until early 2020.

Adelaide Airport Managing Director, Brenton Cox said the new service offered “a convenient service and excellent value for our customers”.

“The valet service will be open from check-in for the first early morning flights until after the last of the late-night flights arrive,” he stated.

“Drive-up rates start at $85 for one day with the daily rate reducing for longer bookings. A seven-day booking will be $345 if you just drive up, while lower rates will be regularly available for customers who book online.

“For travellers heading away for nine or more days, it actually works out cheaper to use our valet service than parking in the short-term terminal car park.”

According to the Adelaide Airport boss, all vehicles will be held in a secure outdoor parking area, which can currently fit around 270 cars but could grow as more people use the service.

“We’ll also be listening to our customers over the first few months to hear about the products and services they want in a valet service and look to meet these customer needs in our future development,” he remarked.

Cox added that the South Australian hub is building new outdoor short-term parking next to the current multi-storey car park to meet strong demand from people who prefer the ease and control of drive-up parking.

“With our parking facilities again reaching 100 per cent at peak times, we are expanding our short-term car parking, initially through additional at-grade parking adjacent to the multi-storey car park,” he said.

“Improved signage at the long-term car park, taxi layoff and rideshare pickup areas has also been installed over the past year to improve wayfinding for customers arriving back at Adelaide Airport.”

In February, Adelaide Airport announced the return of daily Emirates flights on 28 October 2024.

Last year, the hub revealed its “genuinely realistic” plans to host non-stop flights between Adelaide and 37 major cities around the world.
