Air New Zealand is looking for 2 apprentices... to take orders from the All Blacks

Air New Zealand is taking its relationship with New Zealand's Rugby team, the All Blacks, beyond marketing and safety videos and into job searching.

Air New Zealand is taking its relationship with New Zealand’s Rugby team, the All Blacks, beyond marketing and safety videos and into job searching.

The carrier is currently seeking two motivated and crazy-about-rugby apprentices to join the sports team on 16 June when they take on their rivals, the Manu Samoa, in Auckland.

Just as any apprenticeship, the two successful applicants will be required to take on some menial tasks, however, the experience will be heightened by the presence of these talented bodies, sorry, men…

And assisting the team in preparation for the match on game day…

And by that, Air New Zealand means, setting up the team’s Captain Run on the day before the game and assisting in setting up the All Blacks’ coaches box, sideline and bench on game day…

But also joining the team for lunch a day before the match, attending an exclusive question and answer session with All Blacks Head Coach Steve Hansen and players PLUS watching the game from a private sideline bench…

One lucky apprentice will also be responsible for running the ball on to the field for kick-off. Cool right?

The best part is, you don’t need to be based in New Zealand to win one of the two spots because Air New Zealand will fly the apprentices PLUS three of their closest friends to Auckland from anywhere around the world.

You don’t even need to pack clothing for the trip, because the carrier will also be providing special custom-made uniforms for the winners.

All Blacks fans of any age can apply for the gig, but Head Coach Steve Hansen stressed they must be supporters of the team “through and through”.

“Like any position on the All Blacks team we expect these spots will be hotly contested so applicants really need to sell themselves and show us how passionate they really are.”

The apprentices will volunteer their services for 48 hours – from 8.00am Thursday 15 June to 8.00am Saturday 17 June 2017.
