FREE UPGRADE to First Class: British Airways is actually giving them away

A free upgrade to First Class is literally every flyer's dream (don't even deny it), and it RARELY EVER crosses over into reality because the upgrade fairies just aren't as friendly as they use to be.

A free upgrade to First Class is literally every flyer’s dream (don’t even deny it), and it RARELY EVER crosses over into reality because the upgrade fairies just aren’t as friendly as they use to be.

Except on this occassion!

Save those fairy wishes for another flight because British Airways is offering complimentary one-way upgrades on services to or from Sydney.

The ‘First for Free’ upgrade comes with all the rich-class perks, including the in-flight suite equipped with a fully flat bed, a la carte menu, carefully selected wellbeing essentials, soft cotton pyjamas, and attentive service.

Guests will also be able to book a complimentary chauffeur service to or from Sydney International Airport AND access to British Airways’ Arrivals lounge at Heathrow Airport where they can take a shower, eat and enjoy a few spa treatments.

What’s the catch?

Well, you’ve got to have enough money (around AU$7,717) to book Business Class seats.

Yes, the free one-way upgrade is only available to Australians who book a return Club World Business Class ticket to London from now until 12 April 2018 departing from Sydney from 1 May until 31 July 2018.

Sorry, fellow Economy-ers.

The free First Class upgrade will be worth the Business Class spend, according to British Airways’ South West Pacific Regional General Manager, Nicole Backo, who said the First Class cabin is “simply the finest way to travel”.

“This promotion is a ticket to the exceptional comfort and impeccable service of our First class cabin.”
