The Internet, well, the people that utilise it have a wicked sense of humour.
Social media users have a knack for putting a hilarious spin on bad situations and making even the worst of times seem a little less disastrous.
Like remember those extensive Bali delays? While airlines were desperately trying to get their flights back in the air, Aussies trapped on the island adopted a positive outlook – that being #stuckinBali meant more time in paradise.
Or remember when Virgin Australia’s Twitter account accidentally tweeted out a message to Kanye West calling him a “douche” and telling him to EAD (eat a d#ck)? This could have easily turned into a PR nightmare, but those Kanye haters made it a glorious affair with LOL-worthy messages of praise and support.
This week those social media comedians returned to their keyboards to tweet-out some ridiculously brilliant hashtags and comments on Delta Air Lines’ delays.
In case you missed it, the airline was forced to cancel over 1,000 flights over the last three days after experiencing a global system outage. Delta’s systems are now back online, however, the carrier is still scrambling to get all its passengers back up in the air.
Of course, the response from guests has varied, with some praising the airline for their response and communication, while others expressing their disappointment.
Then there are these guys that saw a lighter side to the situation like…
This guy who thinks he may have found the reason behind the delays

Thankfully he didn’t die, but was actually last seen flying home around 10 hours ago
