Australian travellers not only have access to the World’s Best First Class, the World’s Best Cabin Staff AND the World’s Best Airline, it’s also home to the best Premium Economy Class in the world.
The Flying Kangaroo received the title for ‘World’s Best Premium Economy Class’ in this year’s SKYTRAX 2017 World Airline Awards, beating its trans-Tasman competitor Air New Zealand (2nd) and Lufthansa (3rd).
Honestly, we’re not surprised because flying in Qantas’ award-winning product comes with dedicated check-in counters and priority access to a dedicated boarding lane as well as spacious 32 and 40-inch seats and adjustable headrest.

Giving the Premium product a special edge, Qantas offers its Premium passengers access to Rockpool-inspired International Premium Economy menu and they receive a complimentary sparkling wine or beverage upon boarding.
Other highlights of the cabin include a mini amenity kit packed with eyeshades, toothbrushes, toothpastes and socks (upon request), there’s also a large cotton pillow as well as a blanket and a soft sheet.
