How’s this for excitement? Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia has announced the finalists for the 20th Cruise Industry Awards.
The sold-out awards, which return for the first time in three years, will be held on 11 March at Sydney’s Luna Park Big Top. Entertainer Tim Campbell will host the event.
CLIA Australasia selected 73 finalists in Australia and New Zealand from over 400 entries for this year’s awards. It will judge 18 categories, including 11 open to self or peer-nomination.
Awards this year include Agency of the Year, Cruise Consultant of the Year, Home-Based Cruise Agent/Broker of the Year, Rising Star, Cruise Champion, Promotion of the Year and a media award.

CLIA Australasia managing director Joel Katz said this year’s awards would be particularly special and recognise the resilience of the travel agent community across Australia and New Zealand.
“The past few years have given us challenges like never before, and yet the nominations for this year’s CLIA Awards show an incredible amount of passion and strength among our members,” Katz said.
“Each of the finalists chosen for this year’s awards is a brilliant example of the tenacity and dedication that has kept our community united and put cruising back on a course to prosperity.”
