Buffalo Tours expands into Asia Pacific

Buffalo Tours, a leading destination management company in Asia, has officially launched operations in Singapore, Malaysia, China and Hong Kong.

Buffalo Tours, a leading destination management company in Asia, has officially launched operations in Singapore, Malaysia, China and Hong Kong.

This marks the start of an aggressive Asia Pacific expansion in 2015 which will see Buffalo’s geographic reach increase from five markets to eleven by the end of 2015. Destinations to be launched later in the year include Indonesia and Japan.

With the increasing trend towards travellers wanting to “live like a local”, there is a rise in demand for more authentic experiential travel experiences.

Among the tour operator’s new destination is Singapore.

Buffalo Tours is devoting substantial resources to developing unique, innovative offerings that provide travellers with the chance to enjoy hidden gems off the well-trodden tourist paths.

The new in-country offices will be destination experts and will focus on delivering authentic and unique customer experiences that reflect the diverse local cultures.

“Travellers today are increasingly discerning and eschew cookie-cutter options, opting for customised itineraries with more local and authentic options. We have been very successful in designing and operating a range of Buffalo Tours programmes throughout Indochina, and the launch of these new destinations will allow us to provide our partners and customers in Australia with an increased offering of authentic experiences that will put travellers in touch with the local cultures,” said Katherine Lord, Buffalo Tours Australia GM, who brings over 15 years experience to travel to Asian destinations.

“Our agents and customers will be surprised at the array of experiences available in destinations like Hong Kong and Singapore, where the perception may be that sightseeing options are limited. In Singapore a street food tour has been developed along with cycling the villages of Pulau Ubin Island.”

Buffalo Tours provides bespoke tours, excursions, transfers and other “at destination” services to tour operators and travel agents throughout the region.

For bookings made until 30 April 2015, Buffalo Tours has opening offers including 10 percent off selected 4-star packages including their 12-day Wonders of China and their seven-day Beijing and Hong Kong Urban Escape programmes.
