Aqua Expeditions revealed plans this week to move into coastal cruising with its first long-range explorer yacht launching later this year.

Targeting affluent explorers, the interior of the yet-to-be-named vessel will be designed by a renowned designer, while a critically acclaimed chef will create a world-class dining menu.

Initially, the ship will sail in three destinations new to Aqua Expeditions. The cruise line has yet to reveal the locations, however, according to a sneak peek video, they’ll be popular for water activities, wildlife spotting, history and unique culture.

Francesco, who takes a very hands-on approach in the business, said he’ll remain deeply involved in the development of the new vessel as well as its itineraries.

Further details on the ship’s sailings will be released on 8 May 2019.

The arrival of the new yacht along with the line’s new state-of-the-art luxury river cruise vessel will see Aqua Expeditions double its fleet from two to four vessels by mid-2020.
