Hotels are reviewing their canine offerings as quickly as they are their sustainability approach as demand grows for dog-friendly properties around the world.
Ovolo Hotels is the latest to do so, with the launch of a new product this week that caters to man’s best friend. It’s called dog-friendly experience called, V.I.Pooch.
Following a similar scheme released by the brand new Element by Westin in Melbourne, Ovolo Hotels’ new product allows travellers to spend a little extra for an entirely dog-friendly experience.
The pooch package includes a dog-friendly room decked out with a plush dog bed, no-mess eating and drinking mat, separate food and water bowls.
Rooms will also have a ‘doggy bag’ full of dog toys, healthy dog snacks and handy poop bags for city walks, hikes and adventures.
More importantly, owners with multiple dogs can bring up to two furry friends per room.
Ovolo Hotels Group’s Chief Executive and Founder, Girish Jhunjhnuwala, said while most hotels will turn away travelling canines, Ovolo is thrilled to get them a roof (and some toys) to enjoy.
