Uniworld has reaffirmed its commitment to France by announcing a new itinerary and a new ship for the European destination in 2017.

Speaking at the boutique river cruise line’s first Partnership Appreciation Evening in Sydney, Uniworld’s Managing Director, Fiona Dalton, said the company “genuinely values its friendship with France” and hopes to build on it in the coming year.

This will include the introduction of the luxury vessel, S.S. Joie de Vivre, a 128-passenger ship featuring two full-service bars, life-sized checker boards, a heated enclosed swimming pool and more.

According to Dalton, she was designed to “reflect the ‘Joy of Living’ philosophy that France is so well known for. She will join River Baroness in Paris and will sail along the River Seine to Normandy.

River Baroness will also continue to depart from Paris, however, she will operate on the line’s newest French itinerary – the eight-day Paris and the Impressions of the Seine taking in Northern France as it sails from the capital to Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, Vernon, Caudabec-en-Caux and Rouen.

“Never has there been a more important time for everyone at Uniworld to reaffirm our commitment to France, the French people and French tourism.”

Golf lovers will enjoy the line’s expanded Wellness Program, which next year will offer two golfing days in the eight-day Paris and Normandy itineraries.

Cruisers across the line’s entire fleet will appreciate the addition of 24 hour room service and concierge assistance.
