Aussies love travelling, but more and more we’re opting for shorter trips that we can fit into our busy schedules. To cater for this Avalon Waterways will start offering some shorter itinerary options in 2020.

The shorter options include four, five and six-day river cruise itineraries include A Taste of the Rhine, The Heart of Germany and A Taste of the Danube.

A Taste of the Rhine is a five-day cruise stopping at sites along the Rhine River including: taking a culinary walk through Amsterdam, enjoying a guided tour of Cologne, wine-tasting in Boppard, spending free time in Rudesheim and of course, cruising through the picturesque, castle-dotted Rhine Gorge.

Last but not least, the four-day Taste of the Danube spends time in Budapest, Bratislava, Melk and Dürnstein before ending in Vienna.

For those travellers who are just testing the river cruise-waters but want to add-on time on land in popular European destinations, Avalon Waterways is introducing three Your Way options for 2020: 1. An Avalon Waterways land extension 2. A Monograms independent holiday package or 3. A Globus escorted touring holiday.
