Carnival has just unveiled the new design for Carnival Splendor’s WaterWorks with two thrilling waterslides and a SplashZone to be added as part of her dry dock this November.

Carnival has already set the benchmark for jaw-dropping waterslides so we have high expectations for Carnival Splendor which is set to become the newest and largest ship home-ported in Australia.

The adrenaline-packed green and gold WaterWorks will have two slides towering 50 metres above the waterline.

The green thrill-slide is 40-metres-long and starts with a 11.3 metre free-fall drop, followed by a slingshot curve, twisting and sliding guests into a giant swirling bowl.

The yellow Twister Waterslide, on the other hand, takes riders through 104 metres of twists and turns before they return to solid ground.

Carnival Splendor’s WaterWorks will also include MiniRacer slides, splash toys and The Power Drencher tipping bucket.

“Action-packed waterparks are what Carnival does best – so when Aussies told us it was a favourite feature on Carnival Spirit and Legend, we wanted to raise the bar when it came to designing a new WaterWorks for Carnival Splendor.”

Jennifer Vandekreeke, Vice President Carnival Cruise Line Australia

“We can’t wait for Carnival Splendor’s arrival through the heads in December so we can see the smiles and hear the squeals of joy as our guests take on this epic waterpark.”
