While you were catching up on paperwork in the office, some 930 happy travellers were casually cruising into Darwin on Viking Orion‘s very first visit to Australia.
The fifth Viking Ocean ship made her debut this afternoon in Darwin as part of the cruise line’s popular Komodo & the Australian Coast Bali-Sydney itinerary.

According to the cruise line, travellers were excited to help introduce the vessel to Australia where she’ll visit Cairns, Townsville, Brisbane and Newcastle before reaching Sydney to home port.

From 16 December, Viking Orion will spend three months sailing between Sydney and Auckland on Viking’s new Australia & New Zealand cruise route before heading north and recommencing the Komodo & the Australian Coast itinerary in early March 2019.

Viking will be hosting a number of ship inspections across Australia and New Zealand and Travel Advisors are keen to get an exclusive look at Viking Orion with over 3,000 having already registered their interest.
