The look & feel of cruising through the polars – Arctic & Antarctica – is rapidly changing as cruise lines invest more into expedition ships. Among those is Quark Expeditions.

The cruise line recently launched the Arctic’s newest expedition ship, which President, Andrew White, proudly believes will bring more diversity to the icy region.

Appropriately titled World Explorer, the 176-passenger vessel is described as having the latest in safety and sustainability, along with spacious rooms, a variety of off-ship activities and two simultaneously operable helidecks.

Diversity indeed.

World Explorer is the first of several new additions to the Quark Expeditions family, with Ocean Nova arriving in the Arctic in 2019 and a recently announced newbuild joining the Antarctica fleet in 2020.
