Do the Grapevine: GrapeFest is back for a Texas & Aussie wine extravaganza

The US Southwest’s largest wine event, GrapeFest, returns to Grapevine, Texas from 14 – 17 September 2023, celebrating top drops and international friendships including its Sister City, Australia’s own Barossa.

The US Southwest’s largest wine event, GrapeFest, returns to Grapevine, Texas from 14 – 17 September 2023, celebrating top drops and international friendships including its Sister City, Australia’s own Barossa.

The 37th annual GrapeFest will see more than 200,000 wine lovers gather in Grapevine, Texas (near Dallas and Fort Worth) to celebrate all things vino.

Grapevine’s historic Main Street will close to traffic for the four-day event, which includes wine tasting, charcuterie and candle-making workshops, live music, festival food and GrapeStomp comps.

A new Barossa Wine Walkabout guided wine flight experience will also allow guests to become ambassadors to the region.

Barossa wineries, such as Elderton Wines, Heathvale Wines, Hentley Farm Wines, Kalleske Wines, Lambert Estate Wines, Soul Growers, Yalumba and Pewsey Vale Vineyard, will feature alongside Qantas, the official international airline of GrapeFest.

Qantas has direct flights from Sydney and Melbourne to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Grapevine, Texas.

The event will also solidify the Sister City relationship between Grapevine and Barossa Valley Council, which share a similar history and heritage, with a Barossa Valley delegation on hand to sign the City to City Accords.
