Dory wasn’t wrong when she said “the best things happen by chance”, but sometimes they can also happen after dozens of discussions and careful planning.
Like for example, the best things to happen to the world in 2018 are the grand Pixar-themed event and the THREE Pixar-themed attractions opening throughout the year.
“Come on, group hug! You too, Anger!”
The well-planned commemoration of Pixar’s 20th year anniversary commenced this month with the launch of Pixar Fest – a five-month celebration of all things Pixar at Disneyland & California Adventure Park.
This will be followed by the launch of Pixar Pier at the Park in June, while Toy Story Land at Walt Disney World in Florida will also open in the same month (“farewell, my friends. I go on to a better place”).
In the meantime, Pixar fans can get their Buzz-on at Shanghai Disney Resort where the toys are in town for Disney-Pixar Toy Story Land, which opened this week!
Complimenting the resort’s existing Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue attraction and Toy Story-themed hotel (the only Toy Story-themed hotel in the world), the new Land is designed to create a completely immersive experience where guests feel as though they’re as small as one of Andy’s toys.
During their visit, park goers will have the opportunity to meet characters from the movies, eat at Al’s Toy Barn and the Toy Box Cafe while also laughing along on three new attractions called Slinky Dog Spin, Rex’s Racer, and Woody’s Roundup.
The Walt Disney Company’s Chairman and Chief Executive, Robert A. Iger, described Shanghai Disney Resort as one of the most successful theme parks the company has ever opened and expects China to embrace the land.
“We are thrilled to give our Chinese guests even more to explore and enjoy at the resort with the addition of a spectacular new land based on Pixar’s beloved Toy Story characters,” he said.
