Club Med has announced the reopening of Club Med Bintan following the highly anticipated announcement of Singapore government’s implementation of the Bintan-Batam-Singapore travel corridor.
Club Med has announced the reopening of Club Med Bintan after cross-border travel restrictions were imposed for the past two years.
Planned to open on 8 March this year, Club Med says Club Med Bintan presents a holistic wellness getaway for guests of all ages, bringing renewed purpose in travel at this award-winning tropical oasis.
Just a short 55-minute ferry ride from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, the 20-hectare resort is surrounded by the raw natural beauty of Bintan Island and comes with its own 2.4-kilometre pristine private beach overlooking the South China Sea.
From a wide array of exciting land and water sports to holistic spa and wellness experiences and healthy local and international delicacies, Club Med says Club Med Bintan “offers a plethora of specially curated activities for the whole family to eat well, move well and feel well.”
“Since the announcement of the quarantine-free travel corridor by Indonesia, we saw an 83 per cent increase in web traffic from Singaporean travellers within a span of just three days,” said Rachael Harding, Chief Executive Officer, East and South Asia & Pacific Markets, Club Med.
Similarly, bookings for the resort also increased by four times during the same period. We anticipate that with this new announcement from Singapore, the surge will be even greater.”

TRAVEL UPDATE 24/2/22:
Although access to Bintan and Batam is through Singapore, both islands are part of Indonesia and travellers of all nationalities will need to abide by the respective entry requirements set by the Republic of Indonesia government.
Australians wishing to travel to Bintan or Batam would therefore be required to spend 14 days in Singapore prior to travelling to either Bintan or Batam, amongst other requirements. More information can be found here.
