Marriott Hotels, the flagship brand of Marriott International Inc., has signed a new agreement to bring Netflix to its rooms – the first hotel rooms to offer the streaming site.

It will be available to guests staying at select Marriott Hotels.

Guests will be able to subscribe to Netflix (check) or sign in using their existing accounts.

This can be done via the Netflix app on the hotel’s internet-connected televisions.

For the moment, the program will only be available at six properties. These include San Jose Marriott; Princeton Marriott; Newport Marriott; Dallas/Fort Worth Marriott Solana; and Bethesda Marriott SuitesNew York Marriott East Side.

Daredevil

However, the brand plans to expand it to 100 of its properties by the end of 2015 and then to 300 properties in the US by the of 2016 (yay).

If you haven’t trialled Netflix yet, the streaming site offers a range of movie and television content. It even has its own original series such as Daredevil (so good).

“Our collaboration with Netflix responds to changing consumer preferences in the way our guests access and watch content, while recognizing the leading role Netflix is playing in driving this transformation.”

Matthew Carroll, Marriott Hotels Vice President Brand Management

“Because consumers are choosing to take their streaming content with them when they travel, Marriott Hotels is making the industry’s first rollout of Netflix a priority.”
