Singapore will remove the pre-departure test requirement for all fully vaccinated travellers from April 26. This means that double jabbed Australian travellers will no longer need to take a PCR or RAT test before departing for or arriving in Singapore.

From April 26, Singapore will begin a restriction-free new normal for all arriving fully vaccinated travellers (who have had two jabs) and accompanied non-vaccinated children aged 12 and below.

With no arrival testing required either, the only requirement to enter Singapore will be to complete your travel details 3-days before arriving in the Merlion city, online and free via the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority website.

You’ll also need to download and register your profile on the free Singapore Government Trace Together App to use and check in throughout your stay.

Previously, fully vaccinated travellers arriving in Singapore via air or sea checkpoints were subject to a pre-departure test (PDT) within two days before departure for Singapore, which was a PCR to be paid by each traveller.

Singapore had previously ditched its Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) system on 1 April as a part of its new ‘Vaccinated Travel Framework’, which included dropping arrival testing.

Entry requirements for non-fully vaccinated travellers will remain the same: Short-Term Visitors (STVs) aged 13 and above are not allowed to enter Singapore, with very few exceptions, e.g. for compassionate reasons.

Non-fully vaccinated travellers aged 13 and above who are allowed to enter Singapore under such exceptions will be required to take a PDT within two days before departure for Singapore, undergo a 7-day SHN, and take a PCR COVID-19 test at the end of their SHN period.
