DISCOVER THE PAST: there’s no time like the present to visit Egypt, Jordan and Israel

Now is the time for your clients to book a trip of a lifetime to see the pyramids, visit the Dead Sea or follow in the footsteps of Indiana Jones.

Now is the time for your clients to book a trip of a lifetime to see the pyramids, visit the Dead Sea or follow in the footsteps of Indiana Jones.

Insight Vacations have some amazing packages available to Egypt, Jordan and Israel. Trust me, if your clients miss these deals they will be in de-Nile.

Egypt has some of the most impressive historic sites in the world, but it is still throwing up surprises. Just this month a mysterious black sarcophagus was discovered in Alexandria thought to date back to 300BC.

In Israel, travellers might come for Jerusalem’s religious significance but it is also a modern country full of great food and art galleries.

Jordan has the ancient city of Petra, whose rock temple starred in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade but you can also float in the Dead Sea or see the Red Sea.

A potent mix of past and present, history and modernity, the Eastern Mediterranean is a great place to visit, and this region is totally on-trend so there has never been a better time to book your clients a trip:

The wonders of Egypt

The timeless land of the Pharaoh’s, home to Tutankhamun and tombs full of treasures. Egypt is now back on everyone’s radar to visit. The must-dos are of course the pyramids (Giza Pyramid is the only original Wonder of the World that is largely intact still) and the Sphinx, half man, half lion, believed to be the oldest monument in Egypt.

With river cruising all the rage, be sure to jump onboard a traditional Nile felucca in Aswan and learn the art of sailing this ancient Nile craft.

The temples of Jordan

Start by exploring the ancient passageways and rock walls of Petra, up to 200 metres high before sighting the famous Treasury and nearby ancient tombs. Jordan is also home to part of the Red Sea, where the water is so salt dense that you can float without effort and water is so incredibly blue you’ll want to spend hours staring at it.

In Jordan, you can also visit the Dead Sea, a sight that might not be with us for much longer. The Dead Sea is shrinking, so this amazing place is now on a list of “last chance to see”.

See the modern side of Israel

Israel is known for religious sites like Jerusalem and Nazareth, but the country has plenty more to offer visitors – from the lovely people to the galleries, boutiques, museum and traditional food.

Tell your clients not to miss Tel Aviv to open their eyes to Israel of today. Tel Aviv is the second most populated city in Israel, as well as a metropolitan hub for business, arts and entertainment. The city also has kilometres of beautiful blue coastline and is full of modern architecture, chic restaurants and vibrant nightlife.
