Minister for Industry and Trade, Tourism and Land and Mineral Resources, Honourable Faiyaz Koya, has confirmed the 2018 Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE) will take place from the 10-12 of April

Honourable Minister Koya said: “We are pleased to announce the dates for next year’s event and we believe will be another great success. The Expo is Fiji’s premier international tourism event and at the same time has become an important platform for local businesses especially micro, small and medium enterprises to extend their reach and find new markets.”

The trade exhibition, which are booked with scheduled appointments for buyers, media and sellers, will also be enhanced by concurrent events showcasing products from our Fijian Made and Fijian Crafted Village, which has been an integral part of our Expo since 2014.

 

2. Your clients are invited to the Scenic Information Sessions

Scenic will be providing some bucket list inspiration during a new round of information sessions, running nationwide in metro and regional centres between August and October.

The free sessions will cover Scenic’s extensive array of products, from river cruising in France, Europe and South East Asia, to land journeys in Canada, Alaska and the USA, as well as in Africa.

New for this round of information sessions, Scenic will be introducing Egypt and Jordan following the release of its first dedicated brochure for the region at the start of August. The sessions will also showcase the full Scenic Eclipse release, including Antarctica and South Georgia.

3. Go Big with Excite Holidays in Dallas & Fort Worth

4. Helloworld invests in Queensland based agencies

Owned and operated by Managing Director John Cooney, the two multi award winning Queensland based agencies have a highly successful track record and history with the Helloworld Travel group, having been members of the branded network for 31 years.

5. Emirates ramps up services to Cairo

Emirates will increase capacity on its services to Egypt from 29 October 2017, with the launch of four additional scheduled flights every week to Cairo.

The four new flights will increase the number of frequencies between the two cities to three each day, and take the total number of weekly Emirates flights serving Cairo to 21.

Similar to the current service between the two cities, the new flights will be operated by a 360-seat Boeing 777-300ER in a three-class configuration featuring 8 private suites, 42 Business Class and 310 Economy Class seats; adding 1,440 seats each way per week on the route as well as 23 tonnes of additional capacity for cargo per flight.

The additional Dubai – Cairo flight EK 925 will leave Dubai at 2050hrs and will arrive in Cairo at 2305hrs. The return flight, EK926, will depart Cairo at 0045hrs and arrives in Dubai at 0615hrs.

 

6. Byroads lead to Mexico’s ancient pyramids

The famous Mayan-Toltec pyramid settlement of Chichen Itza is one of a host of ancient sites visited on Byroads Travel’s sought-after Mexico and the Yucatan small-group tour.

Beginning in bustling Mexico City on 2 February 2018, the next escorted 15-day tour will also focus on the ruins of such historic Yucatan gems as Palenque, Uxmal and coastal Tulum, along with the breathtaking Sumidero Canyon and the Spanish city of Merida with its colourful colonial squares and streets and lively markets.
