The Flight Centre Global Ball is soon approaching, and this week thousands of flighties from all around the world will converge in Singapore for a weekend of fun, drinks and celebrations.

But who will be the special guest this year?
Last year the glamorous Gwyneth Paltrow rocked up at the Global Gathering in Vegas. Could this year top that?! As always, Flight Centre has kept their lips sealed on this, but there are a few rumours out there.
As we speculated earlier this year, it’s possible that Mr Vin Diesel or even Rihanna may make an appearance at this year’s ball…
Of course, we won’t know until after the main awards night on Saturday night. But stay tuned to KarryOn and we’ll report on just who turned up as soon as we can – we’re definitely not going to leave you in the dark on this.
When I went to the Global Ball in Singapore back in 2012, Fatboy Slim spun the tracks at a private party on Sentosa Island. I remember it well: the booze, the music, the booze.
We stayed at the Marina Bay sands, which was totally awesome. But it all went by so quickly. So my advice for this year’s attendees would be to just make the most of it.
But of course, if you’re looking advice, you couldn’t get any wiser words of wisdom than our own O’Captain.
He – or is it she? – recommends temporarily turning your FB to private during the days of mayhem, to – ahem – prevent “questionable” photos turning up on your mum’s feed. He/she also recommends not falling off a stage either.
Pretty sage advice there I reckon…
