By Nahrain John @karryontravel18 Jun 2018Remember that time Gwyneth Paltrow stepped out in Las Vegas to talk to hundreds of Flight Centre consultants or that time Jessie J brought the house down with Will i Am in Macao? Can you recall the hormones racing when Jason Derulo performed shirtless in Singapore or the keen curiosity raised when former US President Bill Clinton made an appearance in Hawaii? The Flight Centre Travel Group really knows how to make jaws drop at its annual Global Gathering and we expect this year’s event will be no different. With less than 24 days to go until hundreds of consultants and their closest industry partners board an exclusively charted Etihad plane for Berlin, KARRYON has pulled out its tweed Sherlock hat and magnifying glass for the hard task of uncovering (completely guessing) who this year’s mystery guest might be. Our intuition tells us there’s a good chance one of Europe’s top DJs will keep the crowd dancing at least one of the nights – a conclusion that has emerged solely from the image of an animated DJ on the Global Gathering website… Also, we expect there’ll be at least one celebrity motivational/key speaker this year, but we’re tossing between a former politician and celebrity entrepreneur. Here’s who we came up with: 1. Calvin Harris Another fantastic weekend at @omnianightclub and @wetrepublic 📷: @conormcdphoto A post shared by Calvin Harris (@calvinharris) on Jun 9, 2018 at 8:09pm PDT Travel Agents could be partying hard to “sweet, sweet” music if the Scottish DJ stops by. 2. Jamie Oliver Guys I want to show you this gorgeous #veggie White Asparagus & Ricotta Ravioli dish on the new @jamiesitalianuk menu. We're talking homemade pasta stuffed with white asparagus and ricotta, served in a lemon and herb butter with veggie Parmesan and pea shoots. So seasonal right now, love it!! Hit the link in my bio to view the full menu. A post shared by Jamie Oliver (@jamieoliver) on May 29, 2018 at 8:36am PDT Agents could be dining on some delicious inspiration if the celebrity chef and entrepreneur, Jamie Oliver, is this year’s keynote speaker. 3. David Guetta Ukraine was so crazy wow thank you so much A post shared by David Guetta (@davidguetta) on Jan 30, 2018 at 6:29am PST You know there won’t be a single person sitting if David Guetta rocks up with his array of “Titanium” hits. 4. Alexander Skarsgard Flashback Friday! #fbf #alexanderskarsgard édit by @darkphoenyx #ericnorthman #trueblood #tarzan #love #fire #fun #blood #vampire #beautiful #photo #style #sweden 🇸🇪 #hbo #follow #cute #actor #pretty #instagood #alexanderskarsgård #goals #happy #tagforlikes #amazing 💚 #hammarby 💚 #fashion #photooftheday #instadaily #smile A post shared by Alexander Skarsgard (@worldofskarsgard) on Jun 15, 2018 at 12:20pm PDT How did he go from Swedish sensation to Hollywood hit? Consultants could find out in Germany next month. 5. Swedish House Mafia may reunite just for FCTG Finally they are together 🔥 A post shared by Victor Gonzalez-🌊PLUSH (@yosoyplush) on Mar 26, 2018 at 10:50am PDT Could the group of DJs reunite for this ONE NIGHT ONLY? It could happen, or we could really be reaching with this one. 6. Richard Branson #Throwback to being taken to the skies by Danielle Stokes, who was our first female cadet pilot from the @VirginAustralia training programme. Like any job, piloting a plane isn’t about whether you are a man or a woman – it’s about really wanting it, working very hard, and having the ability and opportunity. Proud that Virgin Australia has set a 50-50 gender target for its Pilot Cadetship Programme A post shared by Richard Branson (@richardbranson) on Jun 3, 2018 at 1:55am PDT Look at it this way: Flight Centre consultants are flying to Berlin with Etihad. Etihad has always found a friend in Virgin Australia. Virgin Australia was co-founded by Richard Branson. Richard Branson COULD be at this year’s Gathering. 7. Kylie Minogue @bbccin #Dine&Disco surprise on Saturday night 🤭🤗 Photos by Adam Lynk. A post shared by Kylie Minogue (@kylieminogue) on Jun 17, 2018 at 2:21pm PDT Agents won’t be able to get the singer and her hits out of their head should she perform at this year’s Global Gathering. 8. Elon Musk Helicopters and tunnels A post shared by Elon Musk (@elonmusk) on Apr 13, 2018 at 7:06pm PDT Space, solar power, tesla cars – can you imagine if Elon Musk gives the keynote speech at this year’s event.
