Innovation was at the centre of the 2015 helloworld for Business Summit held in Hong Kong over the weekend.

Industry professionals from Australia flew to the destination where they spent two days delving into business innovation in travel.

The weekend ended with the launch of the inaugural ‘Innovation Award’ at the gala night, which recognised Victoria’s Reho Travel as the leading innovator within the helloworld for business network.

Reho best for community

Reho Travel took out the award for becoming a certified B Corporation member, joining a community of companies worldwide who use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.

Managing Director, Karsten Horne said becoming a member allows the agency to engage with other like-minded businesses.

“We were already working to make a positive change in the world, and now we are taking it one step further.”

To gain B Corporation membership, a business needs to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, and accountability.

Karsten described B Corp as a benchmark to identify companies that are creating the most impact to better the world.

“Our goal of ‘standing for something’ and becoming B Corp certified has led to more invitations to tender and business wins in the last year than in the previous three years, with 50 percent of the businesses sharing the B Corp philosophy.”
