Around 40+ helloworld retail teams and managers are flying home (and high) today after bagging a string of awards at the 2016 Owner Managers Summit (OMS) in Wellington over the weekend.

Invigorated and inspired after the two-day conference, which focused on leadership and culminated with a gala awards dinner to recognise high achieving individuals and stores, over 600 helloworld members, suppliers and sponsors will now be returning home, ready to take their travel business to the next level. The summit was the first to be presided over by new helloworld CEO designate Andrew Burnes.

The weekend event was an opportunity for those in attendance to network, share insights and make new friends, and according to Head of Branded Networks Julie Primmer the summit was a huge success:

“Our members have been provided with valuable knowledge and experience to harness their full potential. It was fantastic to see so many attendees inspired and excited to take advantage of the number of marketing, technology and training initiatives available to them as part of the helloworld network.”

Next year’s destination for the summit was also announced, with Singapore chosen as host for 2017.

Paul Roos, one of the most respected figures in Australian sport, along with other key players in the industry such as CEO of Air New Zealand Christopher Luxon were among the speakers sent to motivate delegates into performing at their peak.

In addition to learning more about their business, delegates at the 2016 Owner Managers Summit also had the chance to deepen their knowledge of NZ as a destination, with Qantas Holidays/viva! Holidays and Tourism New Zealand joining forces to offer delegates the opportunity to discover New Zealand on a famil either before or after the summit.

The major conference sponsors for the event were Qantas, Qantas Holiday, viva! Holidays, Ready Rooms, Rail Tickets, The Cruise Team and Air New Zealand.
