Radio host playfully hijacks Flight Centre store to sell Denmark vacations

Yeahhhhhh, it’s as bizarre as it sounds. A radio host really did take over a Flight Centre store earlier this week with the aim of selling more trips to Denmark.

Mhmm. It’s just such an odd combo.

In a bid to promote Flight Centre or maybe Denmark (we’re waiting for Flight Centre to get back to us on that), South Australian radio station 92.7FM sent host, Loz, undercover as a Flightie to ‘upsell’ the European destination.

See, exactly as it sounds.

Flight Centre Radio Station

In a video posted to the station’s Facebook page, the radio personality is seen entering Flight Centre Rundle looking very much the Flight Centre part in the familiar black uniform and red scarf.

She received a quick brief from staff on the brand’s core values such as “amazing travel experiences” and offering “blended experiences” before she agrees to send clients “anywhere they want to go” but specifically Denmark.

Although we’re not entirely convinced she dealt with any real clients, Loz is filmed using the Flight Centre headsets to convince one client to book two flights to Denmark instead of Sydney, and attempting to divert another traveller to Denmark over Egypt.

Following a full day’s work in the store, Loz says she managed to book 98 people to Denmark albeit some of these sales were “against their will”.
