By Nahrain John @karryontravel20 Dec 2017Agents were awarded for being the best, they were informed of a new mentoring program, they were reassured of their importance to travellers and were treated to a Gold Medal gymnastic performance. The only bit of vital information missing from the Travellers Choice conference earlier this year was, where are Agents headed in 2018? Speaking at the 2017 gathering, Managing Director, Christian Hunter, explained at the 2017 gathering, that due to a conflicting schedule, he was unable to announce 2018’s date and location. Now, after a little reshuffling, Travellers Choice has confirmed that next year the group will hold its conference in… Cairns between 30 November and 2 December. Attendees will stay at the five-star Pullman Cairns International and learn at the Cairns Convention Centre. Hunter said the group is working with Tourism Tropical North Queensland to put on a great show during the three-day event as well as during a range of pre- and- post-conference tours. “We are absolutely delighted to be returning to Cairns and to be giving our members the opportunity to enjoy some of the world’s most celebrated tourism products, including the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics Rainforests,” he said. Further details on the 2018 Conference programme will be released in the New Year. Travellers Choice has also unveiled the dates for its 2019 Annual Shareholders’ Conference, which will take place from 15 to 17 November 2019.
