The Travel Corporation (TTC) brands recognised as cream of the crop

Champagne and party poppers are in order for tonight, tomorrow, and perhaps the rest of the week, after three of TTC's iconic travel brands were recognised in the Travel + Leisure 2016 World’s Best Awards.

Champagne and party poppers are in order for tonight, tomorrow, and perhaps the rest of the week, after three of TTC’s iconic travel brands were recognised in the Travel + Leisure 2016 World’s Best Awards.

The Travel Corporation’s The Red Carnation Hotel Collection, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection and Lion World Travel were all voted into top positions by readers of Travel + Leisure. And by top positions, we mean four No.1 placements and 15 total acknowledgements – kind of like winning the Logies!

Impressive.

It’s awesome news for one of Australia’s leading travel companies – a fourth-generation, family owned business – adding to the good vibes TTC received after the success of The Great $1,000,000 cash Giveaway earlier this year.

“The Travel Corporation is incredibly proud that our brands were honored in so many categories… These awards are a fine testament to our company-wide philosophy of ‘Driven by Service,’ the skill and dedication of our global staff, and the loyal support of our phenomenal guests.”

Brett Tollman, Chief Executive Officer, TTC.

According to Tollman, TTC’s over 100 years of luxury experience coupled with their brands staunch committment to consistently deliver outstanding customer service, experience and value are what makes them favourites in the industry.

But which categories did the travel brands actually win?

Two of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection’s five-star properties, Hotel ’41’ in London and Ireland’s Ashford Castle, took out the top spot in three different hotel categories:  “Best Hotel in London,” “Best City Hotel in Europe,” and “Best Resort Hotel in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Other hotels in the collection, such as The Milestone Hotel, The Egerton House Hotel, and The Chesterfield Mayfair  placed well in other hotel categories.

From land to the water, The Red Carnation Hotel Collection’s sister company Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection won “Best River Cruise Line in the World” in recognition for its attentive service, higher than average staff-to-guest ratios, personalised itineraries, and impeccably designed ships.

“Red Carnation and Uniworld share the same design team and the same dedication to excellence, so it is not surprising that they were both awarded as best-in-class.”

Brett Tollman, Chief Executive Officer, TTC.

And last but certainly not least, Lion World Travel took out seventh place in the “Best Safari Outfitter category.” Lion World Travel have 51 years of experience in operating tours in Africa and have become one of North America’s largest African agencies.

Were you surprised that so many TTC brands took out the top spots?
